Land, water, labor, and capital are the key inputs in farming. Good farm land with adequate water supply, availability of farm labor at reasonable wages, and adequate capital to invest in other farm infrastructure (farm machines, farm buildings, threshing floor and storage, repair shops, farm roads and irrigation channels, transport, etc.) and to provide running capital for farming operations are needed to support the development of viable farming in any area.
