The Hydrogen atom has one electron in its outermost shell, while Helium atom has two electron in its outermost shell.
The atomic size of Hydrogen is more than Helium.

Hydrogen atom has only one proton and electron so it's size is smaller than the size of helium atom which placed down of hydrogen as size of atom increase on down the group.
