Tetanus is caused by Clostridium Tetani bacterium and is also known as Lock Jaw.

Clostridium Tetani is a bacterium found in farm manure, soil and dust. When cuts and wounds in our body are exposed to such elements, the bacteria enter our body and causes tetanus infection. It can also be caused by puncture wounds from contaminated sharp objects, like rusted metal pieces etc.
