The misinterpretation of the nursery rhyme by Think Tank frightened him and led to the cancellation of Earth’s invasion by the Martians. He took the rhyme’s figurative and imaginative words literally.

He misinterpreted that the people of earth have discovered how to combine agriculture and mining. They can actually grow crops of rare metals such as silver. And cockle shells. They can grow high explosives, too.

The people of earth have reached a high level of civilization. They have trained their domesticated animals to launch an interplanetary attack; millions of cows could be on way to attack Mars. Even their dogs have a sense of humor.

Think Tank misinterpreted Humpty Dumpty to be his own self. He thought the people of had seen him, and they’re after him. He misinterpreted “Had a great fall!” meant they were planning to capture Mars Central Control and him. He got scared and ordered his crew to leave earth immediately. He also planned to escape without delay. He planned to go to Alpha Centauri, a hundred million miles away.

answer:

The rhymes are misinterpreted as threats by Think-Tank. ... The third rhyme, 'Humpty Dumpty' wherein Humpty had a great fall and its picture that resembled him threatened him and his planet Mars. He got so scared that he dropped the idea of invading Earth, and escaped to Alpha Centauri.
