Floating a paper boat on a rainy day
A rainy day often announces a holiday. On going to school it is found that due to heavy rains the school has declared a 'rainy day'. In that case it is an unexpected holiday and a time for fun and frolic.
With the pools of rainy water and the drains flowing like small streams it is the ideal time to float paper boats.
Tearing pages from the exercise copies all of us get busy making paper boats. A mast is erected with a lollipop stick and a candy wrapper fluttering at its top as a flag.
Then are floated an Armada of paper boats. Gaily they float by straight out of the poem, 'How beautiful is the rain'. As the boats float past we follow them as if on a boat ride. Times simply flies and we don't want our journey to end
