Mass m₂ > m₁
Force on m, weight < tension
T - m₁g = m₁a.....(1)
Force on m, Tension<weight
m₂g - T = m₂a..... (2)
Add (1) and (2)
m₂g-m₁g = (m+m)a
a = (m₂-m₁)g/(m₁+m₂)
Put a in any equation,
You get T = 2m₁m₂g/(m₁+m₂)
Reaction will be to balance both the tension
so Reaction = 2× Tension
= 4m₁m₂g/(m₁+m₂)
