firstly, toto cunningly check the temperature of water by his finger tip. then he put his one leg into the water then the another leg.. then he slowly used to sit in the water until the level of water was till his neck.. and then he used to rub his body with soap and after taking bath he used to run to the kitchen's fire to keep him warm and to dry water present on his body.. he learnt this by the narrator.. one day toto burnt himself alive. he went to the kitchen and there was a kitchen kettle on flame with water he he checked the temperature of water to take a bath. and at that time the temperature of water was almost normal. and after that the temperature of water started rising high and he started jumping in that. and after sometime grandma came and put him out of the water. this is how he burnt himself alive.
