E = mv^2/2 ??

E = mgh
E = m{(v-u)/t}h
E = m(v/t)h (because initial velocity is 0)
E = m(v/t)(ut+1/2gt^2)
E = m(v/t)(1/2gt^2)
E = 1/2m(vgt)
E = 1/2m(v(v/t)t) (from third and second step)
E = 1/2mv^2
