Some loose everything they've ever owned.  

A very few become powerful.  

A great number are rendered powerless.  

Many ar scared by wars.  

Many gladly do the scaring.  

Wars elevate a select few to fame.  

Wars create a few who become infamous.  

Wars destroy.  

Wars maim.  

Wars kill.
