Formation of waste from various food components:

- Organisms take their nutrition from food by different mechanisms

- The food material they eat, provide energy and undigested material is converted into faeces or waste

- The formation of waste depends upon the type of food and its components

- For example..digestion of carbohydrates takes less time and protein digestion is more complex procedure

- Digestion is the first step of formation of waste from food components

-The process of converting complex substances into simpler forms which can be absorbed by the blood, is called digestion

- Then , undigested or extra material is to be taken out by the process of defaecation.
