there are two types of veins they both help in a different way:
1. xylem-it transport water to the parts of plant
2. phloem-it transport food to the parts of plant

XYLEM AND PHLOEM.
XYLEM HELPS TO CONDUCT WATER . THE MOVEMENT OF WATER IN XYLEM IS UNIDIRECTIONAL.
PHLOEM HELPS TO CONDUCT FOOD . IN PHLOEM THE CONDUCTION OF FOOD IS BIDIRECTIONAL.
