viruses differ from other microorganisms as we know that the latter is alive but currently it is still controversy that viruses are living or not. Further outside the viruses are just like crystals of salt but after entering a host they multiply drastically. Moreover, viruses don't have any metabolism like other microorganisms but are simply DNA surrounded by proteins, which is the reason that makes it difficult to cure viral diseases as at the moment, there is no technique to kill viruses without harming the host body.
