So basically computer viruses are same as coronavirus or any other human virus. They are contagious and spread from one computer to the other. First they enter a single computer then they use that as the host and affect other computers as well. For example in human viruses if you go near a virus affected person you will also get affected with that virus. Similarly, in computers the same thing happens.

Because multiple computers are connected with each other on the internet.

Viruses take this advantage and affect many computers at a time
