to balance chemical equation there are some tips that I want to give you that are

1) first of all take the compound that have highest number of elements and check whether the elements are equal and same in both left and side and right hand side if not balance .

for 4 marks I suggest make table first fault maker table showing that the element in lhs and RHS are not equal and write a statement that the equation is not balanced.

2) then balance the equation and write your observation and answer in the form of tableby making element in a letter and RHS with their number.
