First the air enters the trachea through nostrils, then it enters bronchi after entering the bronchi it enters bronchioles and then the alveoli after reaching alveoli the oxygen enters air and the deoxygenated air from blood goes back to alveoli, bronchioles, bronchi and we breathe it out through nostrils.

When you breathe in, or inhale, your diaphragm contracts (tightens) and moves downward. This increases the space in your chest cavity, into which your lungs expand. The intercostal muscles between your ribs also help enlarge the chest cavity. They contract to pull your rib cage both upward and outward when you inhale.
