• Formula used to calculate % error is
P. E = R.E X 100
here R. E represents relative error,
relative error is nothing but the ratio between the mean average error and average error.
example :
1) if the mean average error = 0.048 and average error = 2.14 calculate the percentage error :
answer :
% error =
therefore
P.E = 4.8 / 2.14
therefore,
P. E approximately is equal to 2%
