Ideas for adding happiness to a senior's life. Spend time with them each day listening to what they would like to say about their day, life, pains, goals and activities. Just having someone to listen is what many seniors want.

There are many ways to make the elderly people happy like

• Give them sufficient time, talk to them let them recite their experience of life.
• If they are more listening prone then share your stories and doubts with them regarding life, because you won’t find anyone more experienced and wise than them.
• Keep a regular check on their requirements like their medicines, eye gear, or medical assistance.
• They all are kind of old school type, therefore you must follow rituals for them as per your religion, like touching their feet (e.g. in Hindu religion)
• Usually, they like to listen to pravachan, ( devotional speech) or bhajans (devotional songs) you must bring a player which contain USB of their favourite listening choices, You can easily download those bhajan or pravachans, or from youtube and can convert by a Video to the mp3 converter.
• Bring fruits and Juices for them regularly as per their Doctor suggested for them.
• If you can spend/ have lots of money then you can also hire a maid for their caretaking.
• At this age, most senior citizens start feeling as if they are a burden on their children so don’t ever let them feel the same, because they expect is only love, respect and little care.
• Try to make their life as comfortable and less hectic but let them walk and suggest them little exercise or Pranayam for their better health (As per doctor recommendation).
• As man is a social animal so don’t trap them in the house of gold with lots of facilities, They too have a social life so once in a week or once in a while take them to temple or church (as per your religion) or laughing club, their friends home.
