A GCF (Greatest Common Factor) is a  set of numbers is the largest number that is a factor of all those numbers. There are two methods by which you can find GCF. These are:

  1. By using a List of Factors
  • List all the factors of each number.
  • The greatest factor appearing on every list is the GCF.
  1. By using Prime Factorization method
  • List the prime factors of each number.
  • Circle every common prime factor — that is, every prime factor that’s a factor of every number in the set.
  • Multiply all the circled numbers.
  • Then, what we got is the GCF.
