A GCF (Greatest Common Factor) is a set of numbers is the largest number that is a factor of all those numbers. There are two methods by which you can find GCF. These are:
- By using a List of Factors
- List all the factors of each number.
- The greatest factor appearing on every list is the GCF.
- By using Prime Factorization method
- List the prime factors of each number.
- Circle every common prime factor — that is, every prime factor that’s a factor of every number in the set.
- Multiply all the circled numbers.
- Then, what we got is the GCF.
