P X R X T / 100 is of simple interest. Means principal is multiplied by rate and time then divided by 100. The result obtained is The interest. Which will be further add on to the principal. I hope the answer was helpful to you If it was please mark it as brainlist ❤️

it's basically from the percentage concept. At which banks/societies give loan or interest.
Like
if P = 100 and r = 20 %

than 20% of 100 = 20

and it is directly proportional to time period.

for 1st year = 20
for 2nd year = 20
for both (1st +2nd year ) = 20+20= 40

so u can write it as 'rt'

hence S.I = P*r*t/100
