There has been a mention of India in various manuscripts of ancient times, aging back to the Roman empire and Mesopotamian civilization. Also the docks found in the Indus Valley Civilization particularly in Dholavari shows India's relation with other civilization.

There has been various mentions of India in works of foreigners therefore we know that India traded in ancient times.
