Hello,
I have often wondered if different countries influenced each other's architecture styles.
Did the same architectural styles spread as a result of influence from the outside or did they come about separately? Let us imagine that two countries shared an architecture style, did this come about due to the influence of one over the other or did they develop in complete isolation from each other even if they were of the same style?
I heard that Gothic architecture developed at the same time both in France and in England. However did these developments take place separate from each other or did they influence each other?
Furthermore, was the Gothic architecture which appeared in Germany and Poland, even as far away as Romania, inspired by this Gothic architecture which appeared in England and France?

Yes they did. Scholars and architects often travelled around and excanged remarks and technical aspects with each other. So it is entirelly plausible for a certain architectural style to appear simultaneously in two countries. And it is also true that some countries are inspired by other's architecture.
I can give you a couple of examples:
Gothic architecture, appeared in Central Europe, then it started being adopted in Southern Europe too. Southern European country Portugal was influenced by this style, creating it's own variant "Portuguese Gothic" as many other countries did. Later Portuguese sailors went on to start the age of discoveries, when the Portuguese got to, say, Thailand or China, they built buildings with "portuguese gothic" aspects, but also incorporating very defined local traces, creating "thai portuguese gothic", and so, just like that architecture keeps evolving!
Other example is Chinese influences in Japan. While China has contributed with enormous cultural wealth to Japan, from language, religion, food, and also architecture, the Japanese have fully incorporated in their national "styles" and made it thoroughly Japanese.
