In the Solitary Reaper, the poet is so attracted towards the maiden's song that he compares her sound with that of cuckoo and nightingale. The poet is not able to know what is she singing about but he is mesmerized with the scene and sound. The poet falls in love with the simplicity of nature and is in awe with the captivating song of the maiden. The valley vibrates with enchanting and pure sound and the poet tries to find the meaning to the song. The speaker carries that purest form of sound in his heart.
