Answer:
Through theories and experiments, we verify what we know and observe from the existing universe. Firstly, it starts with analyzing a physical embodiment. then there's intuition which crafts a theory after prolonged period of research. Then it is proven with experiments and the theory is verified by the scientific community. Hence the theory soon evolves into a law.

There is no definite way to confirm that we know anything at all. Only from our direct experience can we claim any knowledge about the world. It is hard to imagine a world that exists outside of what we can perceive. ... Experience, however, comes through the lens of perception.
