Answer:

Living alone

Explanation:

Living alone in my perspective is the best learning experience one can have. If you have the chance, go for it.

My parents decided to retire back in India and I stayed alone in a relatively spacious apartment. The initial three months were bad, as all I did was go for work, order food, watch Netflix, get hooked to some series, sleep late and then repeat. Some nights I would cry to sleep and some nights I could not sleep as I felt someone else was there in the house. LOL!.

Then I decided I should change this and planned to keep myself occupied with work and household chores. Some steps I followed:

Led a disciplined life : Slept early and woke up early. This is one of the best things that I forced myself to do.

Started cooking: I made up my mind to eat only home made food. Two benefits, I lost weight and learnt healthy food is easy to cook.

Started meditation: I wish everyone could realise the importance of meditation and the benefits it has. The clarity and calmness it gave my mind makes me wonder why did I start meditating so late. One benefit is your decision making ability improves drastically. So take my word and practise meditation daily.

Started writing: Whenever I feel like I used to write. Maybe its just the daily tasks or what I feel or what I wish to be in life. So whenever I am angry at someone, I write down my feelings. Sometimes it goes to two pages. Later when I read it after two days, you realise you were being silly. This was another personality changing habit.

Stopped watching TV: If there is something that I can recommends this. When you watch TV your brain is not functioning to its ability. And the amount time you get when you switch off this box.
