how do we measure potential difference what is its unit ? The intrument used is connected in series or in parrallel in the circuit ? Does it have low or high Resistence ?

We measure potential Difference with the help of Volt meter.

It's unit is Volt(V)

Voltmeter is connected in parallel

It has a very high resistance.

We measure potential difference with the help of voltmeter. Its unit is Volt. It is connected in Parallel. Resistance is completely different matter. However, it depends on wire, temperature etc.
If you are talking of Voltmetre then it has quite high resistance.
