How do we obtain calcium from calcium oxide?

The metals high up in the reactivity series can not be obtained by heating with carbon.These metals are obtained by electrolytic reduction of their molten chlorides .

Here, Calcium will deposit on the cathode ,whereas chlorine will be liberated at the anode.
