The neurons of our nervous system transfer impulses. Stimuli is any change in the environment which affects us.

For example when we touch a burning candle we suddenly remove away our hand. Burning candle which we touch is the stimuli and removing hand is the reaction. Our reaction to any stimuli is very sudden and unfortunate. The sensory cells in our hand transfer the stimuli to the brain and then it reacts.
