Answer:

Nerve cells, blood cells, and reproductive cells are examples of specialized cells. ... Blood cells are an example of specialization within a system of the body and include red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets. Red blood cells, for instance, specialize in carrying oxygen throughout the body.

The question says that, cells are specialized to different jobs, how can we explain or justify with an example.

In Multicellular organisms, the body follows division of labour which means that cells are specialized for a particular kind of work. It increases their efficiency and longevity of life.

Each cells is given certain works which means they are pre dominantly assigned with that works. Let's understand better with the help of examples:

  • Muscle cells - Contraction & Relaxation
  • Nerve cells - Carriers of electrical impulses
  • Gastric cells - Secretes HCl and Pepsin.
  • Ova / Egg - Contains the female gamete nuclei
  • Red blood cells - Carries oxygen.

.............and so on.

Now as they are doing less work as compared to a single cells in unicellular organisms, they live for longer period time as well as the load on a particular cell will reduce.
