⚫It is to tell a story in a way that makes some sense and can be followed in the process of writing history we focus only on those events which help us to give shape to the story we are telling.
⚫In the histories of the British governor - general the activities of Indians have no space.
⚫For this we need another format for our history in it old dates no longer have significance.
