Appreciation :
1. Save Lives: Provides better environment and facilities for people to live and grow:
2. Promotion of the rights: It provides and protects basic rights and facilities such as right to live. right to safe drinking water etc
3. Promoted development: Promotes not just social, political but economic development as well by ending wars and maintaining peace in war inflicted countries:
Criticism:
1. Abuse of human rights: Since it is a Global organization, many times they are not able to help the affected areas timely or have to face inadequate resources, which may lead to "abuse of human rights".
2. Imbalance in political ownership: Since the "members of the UN" are mostly from the developed nations, this may lead to unequal power distribution and imbalance in political ownership.
