How do you appreciate the role of friction in facilitating our various activities?

It is because of friction that we can hold things(like pen ,pencil etc)in our fingers.
It is because of friction that we can walk properly without falling.
It is because of friction that we can drive vehicles.
So friction is essential in our life.
