inert gases are the gases which have their valency shell filled with correct electrons that is fully filled orbital.Due to this they not able to give and take any electrons easily.

Answer:

Inert gases are commonly knows as Nobel gas as they don't participate on any chemical restriction under a set of given conditions.

Explanation:

  • Inert gases are unreactive as they are reluctant to share electrons from their filled outer electron orbit.
  • Nobel gases have stable configuration due to the presence of 8 electrons in their valence shell.
  • Any element participate in a chemical reaction by gaining or losing electrons to get stable configuration of the nearest Nobel gas.
  • Inert gas or Nobel gass like Neon, Argon, Krypton, Xenon and Radon has 8 electrons in their outer most orbit( Helium has 2 electrons) and they can't lose or gain any electron in their outer shell so they don't participate in any kind of Chemical Reaction.
