How do you calculate the volume of irregular objects?

Not sure, but may be we can calculate using moment method. Assuring that the body is at rest, we split it into several individual volumes. Then calculate the moments of each volume about a reference axis and sum them.
This should be equal to the moment of total volume about the same axis.
