The ways to check the temperature when my sister is suffering from high temperature is as follows:

• I can place the thermometer under the tongue and ask her to close her mouth. She needs to hold the thermometer with her lips for three minutes until the device beeps.

• I also can use a rectal thermometer with using petroleum jelly on the bulb. Her face needs to be down on a flat surface or lap. It can be removed after 3 minutes.

• The thermometer also can be placed in the armpit and in the ear canal opening to measure the temperature.
