hi5!!
you can prepare hydrogen gas in the laboratory with the help of dilute h2so4 on zinc granules..
this is very basic method but still be very-very cautious
thanks..

Anonymous: you can obviously collect h2 gas through water displacement method (hcl and zn reaction)with the help of test tubes but dont try and do that, teachers are supposed to show you

We can collect hydrogen gas from the laboratory gas by making it by reacting methane with steam at very high temperature ( 700 - 1100* C )

CH
₄ + H₂O -------⇒ CO + 3H₂

Anonymous: Hydrogen is the lightest element and has many industrial uses, including the creation of hydrogenated fats for use in the kitchen and the production of hydrocarbons from coal. However, hydrogen is highly explosive when mixed with air. This article will show you how to collect hydrogen by separating water into hydrogen and oxygen.

Fill a large glass jar 3/4 full of water. 2.Fill 2 glass test tubes completely full of water. 3.Put both test tubes upside down in the large jar of water. 4 Clamp the test tubes in place. 5 Slide each copper wire inside a test tube. 6 The end without the alligator clip goes inside the test tube. 7 Add 1 tsp. (5 ml) of vinegar to the water. 8Connect the wires to a DC power source or 9-volt battery using the alligator clips.
