organic substance is soluble in alcohol solution but not in water

where as

in organic substances soluble in water but not in organic solutions

The main difference between organic and inorganic compounds is that the organix compound contain a carbon atom and often hydro carbon to form hydrogen can compounds whereas inorganic compound does not contain either of two above atoms.
