r - 6 = 6 + 4r

Move the like terms

➾ r - 4r = 6 + 6

Calculate

➾ -3r = 12

Divide both the sides by 3

➾ -r = 12

Variables never contains negative i.e. minus sign

➾ r = -12

∴ The value of r is \green{\boxed{\green{\boxed{\red{\textsf{-12}}}}}}
