How do you extract metals of lower and middle of reactivity series ? Also give examples.

metals of lower reactivity are generaly found In native state except copper and silver

in the extraction of middle reactive elements we generally use the method of reduction by coke in some cases aluminium is also used ( in manganese and iron)

three examples are given in the photo

copper ( low reactive ) ore (cuprite)

zinc (MEDIUM REACTIVE ) ORE (ZINC BLEND AND ZINC GLANCE )

MANGANESE (MEDIUM REACTIVE ) ORE (PYROLUSITE )

carbon can be used to reduce the oxides of metals below aluminium in the Reactivity series . (reduction is the removal of oxygen) for example, carbon is used in the extraction of zinc ,iron and lead. However, it can't be used to extract metal near top of the reactivity series
