How do you factor completely a^2 - 1 - 4b^2 - 4b?

Here 1 is only the constant term and the factors of 1 are +1 and -1.

Put 1 and -1 at the place of a and due to which factor you will get zero the factor opposite to the sign will be ur answer.

On putting -1 u will get zero.

therefore it answer will be (a+1)
