ANSWER :
All of my artistic creations are me, as in my aura, and as such they are all my children. We are a giant, because I am global. As an artist, I am a perfectionist and “good enough” is never good enough, everything I make must be outstanding, exemplary or sublime.
The reproductions and limited edition prints of 55 of my children are treasures to countless people throughout the whole world. I enjoy each part of the process of making my own prints and hand embellishing them to give them my personal touch and my blessing as they are sent out into the world to bring joy to everyone who looks at them.
All of my art is very lovely, beautiful and powerful, just like I am. My originals are not actually for sale, arbitrarily speaking, because I enjoy seeing them lots more than I would enjoy the money they would bring in; besides, my limited editions and reproductions are providing enough of a comfortable livelihood.
Yes, I’m a very nice guy, but I have to really like or love someone before I will let them adopt one of my children. I need to feel like I would be comfortable visiting my children in their home, which also needs to be a good stable home. Some people will never have enough money to own one of my paintings - because if I don’t get along with them well enough, it just isn’t going to happen.
When ever I do sell one of my children, it’s very hard on my physically and emotionally. If it is a larger piece I always become fairly sick and depressed. Why? because, it’s a big deal to let one go, almost like having a son go away to war… it’s hard to get over the thought that I may never see them again.
I am fairly reclusive most of the time and I live in a secluded area in the country - miles from where my legal documents say that I live. There are less than 23 people who know exactly where my art studio is located - and it’s nowhere near where I advertise or say that it is. I usually am only half way joking when I say that: “If anything ever goes missing, I only need to interview 23 people.”
At almost 75 years of age now, I’ve had my time in the lime-light in The Show with a major Gallery for over 30+ years. These days I will only work with a Gallery if they fully insure my art while it is in their possession. Most commercial Galleries say that “I’m too hard to work with,” and it’s true, because I don’t work for them, they work for me. Both my Dealer and my Agent and I have been together for decades now and we have an understanding.
My grand patron and I, with investors are now building my Museum, Gallery, & Gift-Shop in League City/Houston, Texas to house the entire collection, The Loren Adams Collection.
