How do you find a number c that satisfies the conclusion of the theorem for the function f(x)=x2−3x+1 on the interval [-1,1]?

You will get c=3. But this value does not belong to the given range, hence, no value for c exists which satisfies Lagrange's Mean Value Theorm. Hope this will help you.
