How do you find the area bounded by the x axis, y axis and x+y=4?

Hey mate

here is your answer

the above line forms a triangle with coordinate axes

the line equation x+y=4 is of the form ax +by =C

where a = b = 1 and C = 4

by formula area of triangle is c^2/2|ab|

therefore we get area after simplification as

8 sq.units
