How do you find the perimeter or circumference, and the area of a circle with radius 4.2 in?

Solution:

Given radius of a circle(r)=4.2in

i) Circumference of the circle

(C) = 2πr

= 2×(22/7)×4.2

= 2×22×0.6

= 26.4 in

ii) Area(A) = πr²

= (22/7)×4.2×4.2

= 22×4.2×0.6

= 55.44 square in

Perimeter of circle is 2pi r

= 2 × 22/7 × 4.2

= 26.4 units

area of the corcle is pi r^2

= 22 × (4.2)^2

= 388.08 sq. units
