there are various methods depending upon the eq of the line given u have to use the required method

1. slope intercept form

y=mx+c

here slope is m directly

2. 2 point form

two points are given (x1,y1) and (x2,y2)

then slope is (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

3. slope point form

y-y1= m(x-x1)

here also slope is m directly

4. x and y intercept form

(x/a)+(y/b)=1 ........where a is x intercept and b is y intercept

here slope is -b/a

hope it helps u
