How do you find the value of r such the points (9,r), (6,3) with slope m=-1/3?

Let A(x1,y1)=(9,r);

B(x2,y2) = (6,3);

slope (m) = -1/3

=>(y2-y1)/(x2-x1) = -1/3

=> (3-r)/(6-9) = -1/3

=> (3-r)/(-3) = -1/3

=> 3-r = (-1/3)(-3)

=> 3-r = 1

=> -r = 1-3

=> -r = -2

=> r = 2
