Given:-

  • how do you graph 2x+y=3

To find:-

  • Value of xy

Solution:-

Consider y as 1

  • 2x+y=3

  • 2x=3-1

  • 2x=2

  • x=2/2

  • x=1 (required answer)

Hey mate value if xy is 1.

Explanation:-

  • First of all any variable alone can be replaced with 1.

  • So now 1 has its sign shown before it so when +1 moved to R.H.S. it will be 3-1.

  • So now the difference is 2.

  • Now multiplication will change to division i.e., 2/2.

  • Now on division it will give 1 as quotient.

Varifying:-

Put 1 in place of xy.

  • 2×1+1=3

  • =>2+1=3

  • =>3=3

  • 0=0

L.H.S.=R.H.S.

hence proved!

Hope it was helpful...

Thanks for asking....

Answer:

Here is the step by step solution...

Step-by-step explanation:

  1. make a table

2. assume x=0 , x=1 , x=2

3. x 0 1 2

y

4. Now replace x=0 in 2x+y=3

2(0)+y=3

y=3

5. Now replace x=1

2(1)+y=3

y=3-2

y= 1

6. Now replace x=2

2(2)+y=3

y=3-4

y= (-1)

complete the table...

x 0 1 2

y 3 1 -1

(0,3) ; (1,1) ; (2,-1)

Now you can plot the dots and make graph...
