how can you divide when you used the sign of multiply..

i think it should be like this

$(x4 + a4)(2 + a2)$

so the answer should be

$x4(2 \times a2) = 2x4 + x4a2 \\ a4(2 \times a2) = 2a4 + a6$

therefore 2x4+x4a2+2a4+a6
