What is sharpness of resonance ?

Here is your answer.

Basically sharpness of resonance is the define as a Q factor, which related to how fast energy decay in an oscillating system.

sharpness of resonance are depend upon two factors, or we can say two generally factor that effect the sharpness ho resonance.

1: Damping

2: Amplitude

when damping increase the sharpness also increase or in the same way when damping decrease sharpness of resonance also. when no damping takes place their is no sharpness,as damping being to start the sharpness also increase.

On the other hand, sharpness increase when amplitude decreases or when frequency could not match with the applied frequency . Flat amplitude means increase in sharpness.
