Every organism which is born should end its life at some period, so are the cells. They have specific life span and they die at the end of their life span. For example, a red blood cell (RBC) is produced in the bone marrow. It has an average lifespan at about 120 days. It is destroyed in the spleen as it dies. Hence, bone marrow is considered to be ‘cradle’ and the spleen as the ‘grave yard’ for a RBC cell.
