Plant it on the south west corner of the school. It will shade the school during the late afternoon in summer. Also make sure the tree is 15 feet away from the school. To test the soil, you dig a hole where your tree is going to be and fill it with water, if the water is gone int he morning, then your soil drains poorly. If the water is gone in a few hours, then your soil drains quickly. Most soils will lie between the two. You write a report on what you observe. For example, how tall it grew each day, how much water it got that day, etc.
